Landgraf Friedrich II. von Hessen-Kassel

Uniform prussian Infantry Regiment No.45 'Landgraf von Hessen'

Landgrave Frederick II was given the command of the Regiment No. 45 in 1757.
Sometimes later he became "general of the infantry" and "Generalfeldmarschall" in the prussian army.
In 1769 he managed to embellish the uniform with wide golden braids for the officers' coats.
This uniform was made after the Tischbein Painting with silk and velvet.
